Just because there is a recyclable symbol on it doesn't mean it's OK to put it in a blue shopping cart.
Dean Wyman, general manager of solid waste resources, said that there is a common misconception when people look at the bottom of the waste for the mobius band of the three arrows forming triangles.
"The recycling symbol at the bottom does not really tell people that it is recyclable.
"That means it's made of recyclable content," he said . ".
"Everyone thinks it says you can recycle it, and in this case you can probably recycle 95.
There are only some strange things (get recycled).
"There is a dance where residents occasionally perform while standing between the trash can and the blue trash can with the scrap.
