Last week, Gary Krauss of the US District Court in Los Angeles stopped Del Monte from selling any pet food that violated the Mars patent.
Judge Krauss also supported the jury's decision last month to reward Mars with $3.
Loss of 6 million
Mars, who produces dog food of origin and Whiskas cat food in the Mars Kan department, sued on 2001 for unspecified losses and blocked H. J.
Pet food for sale at Heinz, soft center surrounded by hard grainbased shells.
San Francisco-based Del Monte was involved in the case in 2002 when he acquired the North American pet food department from Heinz.
Del Monte said he was considering an appeal.
