If you have the option to know if your food contains something that might hurt you, you would want to be told, right?
The Canadian government prevents us from knowing too much by having manufacturers voluntarily label or not label foods containing genetically modified ingredients.
On 2012, the people of California voted against Proposition 37, which called for labeling genetically modified foods.
They 've been a bit coaxing from spending $45 million to convince the Californian that laws designed to protect them are actually harmful.
