It is usually used to connect acrylic and other plastics together.
Polycarbonate cement is made of acrylic resin and solvent.
The two ingredients are mixed together to form a polyester cement.
Place the acrylic sheet on a flat surface and the end of the sheet hangs at least 2 inch on the edge. Set a C-
Tighten it to the top of the acrylic resin and tighten it in place.
This will hold down the acrylic and prevent it from moving when it is scraping off the edges.
Slide a tool knife along the edge of acrylic and start scraping off the small pieces of acrylic.
Move the knife back and forth from one side to the other and remove the small pieces of the knife from acrylic.
When the pieces fall off, pick them up and put them in a clean glass jar.
Cut off small pieces of acrylic with a tool knife and continue to put in a clean glass jar.
Pour 4 oz of acetone directly onto the acrylic sheet you put in the jar.
Mix the two together with a knife.
Stir and let the acetone cover all the pieces of acrylic acid.
Move the knife back and forth to verify that it covers the entire area and stabilize the mixture for at least 24 hours.
Check the mixture and confirm that there are no visible pieces of acrylic.
They should be mixed with acetone.
Check if it's sticky.
Test it on any scrap surface.
Apply the tested polycarbonate cement to the desired object.
