The long-awaited Glass House in the vaccine warehouse on Mandoli Road is estimated to cost Rs 1.
56 crore will be completed by August 15.
When B. S. Yediyurappa served as chief minister, this long-delayed project was envisaged.
He promised to release the 25 crore rupee as the theme park to develop a vaccine library and build glass houses for the Horticultural Products Exhibition.
However, due to strong opposition from the residents of Tilakwadi, The Glass House project was transferred to another place within the house.
Following the change in the project plan, local minister Satish jalaki Holly laid the foundation in June 2015.
The glass house, covering more than 10,000 square feet, is built on an elevated platform surrounded by a grill and a transparent polycarbonate mesh with a transparent roof.
The glass house will be managed by the gardening department for displaying fruits and flowers.
The gardening department plans to hold the next fruit and flower exhibition in the Glass House.
It also plans to beautify the surrounding area at an estimated cost of Rs 25.
Ravindra Hakate, deputy director of gardening, said Glass houses would be used to raise awareness about gardening products.
The public work department completed the construction within the specified time.
RB Damannavar, PWD executive engineer, said the restoration of granite will be completed in the next two weeks.
